Hi my name is Keertana, welcome to my portfolio website. I am a Product Design BSc and UX Design MSc graduate. Please read my resume for further information on my profession and experience.

I have designed a variety of products such as jewellery, household furniture, AI sleeping devices and apps for wellbeing through the process of research, ideation and development. The portfolio page is available, where you may view my earlier work as well as my most recent projects.

SMALL BUSINESS
DIGITAL ARTWORK
Whilst completing my masters I also wanted to make use of my passion for art. Therefore I started a small business of creating digital art, some involving personal portraits for customers.
2020-2021
UX DESIGN MSC
THE CURRENT STAGE
I am currently completing my masters in UX design. While also implementing my Product Design skills, I have grasped new skills such as app design (interface and interaction design) and web developing.
2019-2020
GRADUATING UNIVERSITY
FINAL YEAR OF PRODUCT DESIGN
Final year of product design involved discovering myself as a designer and reflecting my values into my work. I created an AI pillow which aids in masking the sound of snoring, an educational escape room for GCSE product design students and a dissertation examining the gender data gap within the automobile industry ( inspired by the book 'Invisible women' by Caroline Perez).
2018-2019
PLACEMENT YEAR
TEACHING AND SETTING UP A WEBSITE
An adventurous placement year of trying new things and discovering myself as a designer. I taught product design at my old secondary school as well as making beginner-friendly SolidWorks tutorials for students of all ages and aiding them in workshops. While creating SolidWork tutorials I discovered a gap in the market and created a website in order to sell these tutorials.
2016-2018
PRODUCT DESIGN BSC
UNIVERSITY
2016-2018 marked an amazing 2 years at the University of Brighton where I was working towards completing my degree. Since it was a sandwich course, it required a placement year during my third year as reported above.

WORK EXPERIENCE & PART-TIME JOB
During the summer of 2014 and 2015 I did 2 weeks of work experience with the medical unit and technical unit at a pharmaceutical company called Concordia. I also had a part-time job as a sales assistant at a local pharmacy for 2 years.
